Opportunity Sales Stages:

When to change the stages in BoldDesk

Preliminary Opportunity

  • 1st stage of all opportunities

  • That is how they are being placed into the system

Qualified Evaluation

  • Research: seems to be a company/individual we can do business with.

  • Establish Contact; start cadence.

  • Have an idea what they are looking for

Pricing/Formal Proposal

  • Price was proposed; Quote/Proforma was sent.

  • Update the “Amount” in your ticket/opp!

  • Proposal should have an end date.

  • Any Discounts should have an expiration date

Forecasted

  • Customer stated they will most likely buy, trying to get a time frame.

  • Establish decision process and buyers.

 

Pending

  • Literally waiting for the PO, Credit Card, or signed quote to book order

Closed – Won

  • We received everything from the customer to close won the opportunity

Closed – Won

Channel

  • We received everything from the Channel’s partner to close won the opportunity.

Closed – Lost

  • We worked the sales cycle but no sale.

  • Customer asked us to stop sending email.

  • Customer stated not interested.

  • CL eligible; Banned country; existing customer
